We welcome you to our “retreat space”, a tranquil and loving haven for people to take a break from everyday life. While many retreat centres offer structured programmes, our ethos is more about providing a space – a supportive environment and a blank canvas for individuals or small groups to follow a retreat designed around their own needs. We offer:

      • beautiful, peaceful, natural environment
      • hearty, healthy vegetarian food including seasonal home-grown vegetables and home-made bread
      • indoor and outdoor spaces for relaxation, activities, contemplation, or spiritual practice.

We invite you to join our community with aspiration to live a simple, healthy and productive life. Together with you we create an environment that supports retreats: not too loud, avoiding discussing the busy daily world, and space away from your daily routine and the Internet.

      Self-guided programme

We enjoy the diversity as each guest brings their own flavour of focused inner exploration: meditation, prayer, contemplation, breath-work, and all manner of yoga poses and other physical exercises from gentle to vigorous. Maybe you will enjoy reading, study, walking, dancing, or even singing in the rain.

Our roots are in the Yoga and Christian traditions. We can offer private tuition in yoga or meditation (at extra cost, booked in advance), and you may keep a recording to reuse throughout your stay. We don't provide a full structured retreat programme, as our intention is to give you a space to meet your personal retreat needs. We recommend that you create a rough structure how you wish to spend your time, so that you make the most of the opportunity.

      Diet

All retreats are full-catered – sorry, no self-catering options. We provide hearty and healthy vegetarian food packed with fresh veggies, grains, nuts and seeds. We ask guests to avoid any alcohol, tobacco, meat or fish for the duration of the retreat. We can cater for most food allergies, with many delicious vegan and gluten free recipes up our sleeves. Please discuss any specific requirements with us before booking.

      Practicalities

Simply bring yourself and personal effects. We provide food, bedding and basic Yoga/meditation equipment. Detailed instructions and directions will be sent upon booking.

We are based near Welshpool, in Powys, Wales. Less famous than Cumbria, North Wales or Devon, Powys is nevertheless pretty and less populous than any of others (people per area). We're around 5 miles from the English border and easy to reach from the Midlands and South-East. We can pick you up from Welshpool station which has good connections. If you prefer to drive, we are fairly close to major roads and have some parking.
