The first step is to attend a 3 hour beginners workshop. With a maximum of 6 students, all beginners, you learn some basic techniques, and most importantly key points to stay safe. Workshops are normally Saturday or Sunday morning, in a city centre Yoga centre or similar dedicated space.

For those who want to take it further, I run regular practice groups for 2-4 people in my home studio. Classes are mixed level except not complete beginners. There is some teaching of new techniques, plus plenty of opportunity to give and receive massage.
You must be free from any injury or condition that would make it unsafe for another beginner to massage you. If in doubt please ask me.
